As you enter Colonial Grind the smell of veteran sourced coffee from Cactus Creek Gourmet Coffee Roasters enters your nose. Walking in on matte gray floors with sandpaper walls, whitewashed brick, and black and white accents that create an inviting atmosphere. Colonial Grind’s owners are Trinity residents who have started their business from scratch. Misty and Jeffery Mullins have placed all their time and hard work into bringing this business idea to life. They had no experience in the coffee industry, but they have hit the ground running. They visited other coffee shops and bakeries in other surrounding communities to gather more information on this sweet industry.
Colonial Grind is a very unique coffee shop because it’s the first of its kind to Trinity. Colonial Grind offers its customers custom coffee creations, smoothies, boba, baked goods and ice cream.
Fun Fact 1: You must try their two famous coffee creations “The Sam” and “The Moose” which were named after Misty’s parents.
